My Dessert Safari Adventure

Dessert Safari Adventure is one of the hundreds of activities you can do while visiting the fastest growing city in the world, Dubai. It will cost you 180 US Dollars (Regular Price) or more if you will book your reservation at the hotel or from your travel agents. Since I am working in the hotel and member of the Concierge Team, most of the Tour Operator in Dubai had offer us to get a free safari for us to experience and recommend it to the guests. Thanks God, because I cannot afford this trip.

My first Dessert Safari Adventure was with the Hotel Concierge Team and was complimentary while the second was not but I enjoyed it so much because it was with my close friends here in Dubai.

You will be picked up by a 4x4 wheel Drive from the hotel at around 4:40pm to the Dessert that will take 1 hour 30 minutes. Before heading to the sand, you will stop at a place where there are lots of shops selling several souvenirs and food items. The Driver will deflate the tires of the car to make sure that it will goes well to the sand. After 20 minutes of strolling to the place and checking some good stuff to buy, you’re ready to go. A convoy of 15 vehicles of 4x4 wheeled car that will go back and fort, slide to the dessert. Seeing that scenario alone can boost your energy because you will see different tourists bringing their video and digital cameras with a very exciting smile.

The first thing on the dessert was, Dune Bashing wherein the car will go to different slopes of the sand that will give you a feeling of riding a roller coaster. Screaming, shouting and laughing will take place. After 30 minutes of very hilarious moments, you will stop on a place wherein you will observe the sunset while asking your self how nature created the slope of the sand that it seems that it was sculptured perfectly. After those funny moments on the car you will meditate on this place and of course take pictures.

The next stop will be at the dessert camp. A place especially designed for the tourist to unwind after a long ride. From there you will have the chance to ride a camel, used the traditional clothes, and make your body painted by henna. A buffet Dinner will also serve and a belly dancer will entertain you to complete the night. It was a very good experience and the memories will last for long time.
